Editor's Note

For me:
 poetry
  happens
pretty frequently,
and i found that words,
 when harnessed effectively,
 can create an opportunity
 to see things differently.

For me:
i focus on the positive...
despite the odds that chaos
may throw at us.

i strive to serve
the very best of humanity
and aim my skills to create genuine,
sustainable infrastructures....
be it sidewalk busking,
stage performances,
or working
alongside individuals
who seek to harness
the sustainable
for backyard/community...
think victory gardens,
food as medicine,
greenhouses in school yards,
or farm to table enterprises.
Most importantly,
i wish to see
those who delve in creativity
be generously supported
monetarily.
All too often
those that create
are not compensated.
Here at Whispering ink
up to 90% of funds
go to the artist
and residual funds go
to an altruistic endeavor
of each artists' choice.

Poetry in motion,
really...
and at first,
i found
that my own gift
of poetry
was a unique
e n i g m a,
yet now
i understand
the power
behind
acts
of
words
self-coalescing...
and i seek to support IT,
as IT supports
the best
within all of us,
as a collective,
nurturing seeds
of ripening potential.

Therefore:
Wserves
as a model
to instigate
positive
global
change,
which means
that
residual gain
will
directly
support
thus
and
such
and
here
on
after
!

.... Amen !

We
are
at
a
NexuS

where
the
presence
of each of us
makes all the
difference !

And so
due thanks
to friends
of all inky ilk
who wish
to share

Why poetry?
My passion for poetry
first began funneling my energy
in the dandelion summers
of my weedy youth.
Used bookstores
were my haven,
as i would sit quietly
amongst the tall make-shift forts
formed by faded books.
My fingers traced the imprints
left by printing presses,
my nose inhaled inspirations
from paper and words alike.
1960’s science-fiction
discovering itself
within the timeline
of my own lifetime...
yeah, you could say
that was hooked
on words
at
an
early
age.

My working definition
for the name ‘Whispering ink’
continually (r)evolves.
Personally,
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

find it’s definition illusive;
my best guesstimate as of yet:
it’s when you gets taken in,
sucked cleanly between the text.

It is the space
where nothing exists
except a baseline of thought
that thumbs a way through
the chaos of words:
poetry!

Thank you for perusing.
To
the
very
best
potential in all of us!
The pen is mightier
than the sword!
